NJPW Eyeing Several WWE Stars Once Their Contracts Are Up

New Japan Pro-Wrestling will look at bringing back some of the talent they’ve lost over the past few years to WWE. According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio (subscription required) episode, the company will attempt to bring back Shinsuke Nakamura, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. All three of the stars, along with AJ Styles, left NJPW back in early 2016 for WWE. They’re all said to have signed three-year contracts, so that means their deals will expire early next year.

It’s said that Nakamura, who is the current WWE US Champion, will most likely stay in WWE. The relocation to the US was a big deal for the Japanese native, and he feels that he has finally gotten the WWE style down. Likewise, Karl Anderson has a family to raise, so it seems like he would prefer to stay in North America. Whether or not Gallows, who teams up with Anderson as The Club, will leave or go remains to be seen.
