As it was announced this past Monday on Raw, Kane will be in the corner of The Undertaker during his bout with Triple H at WWE Super Show-Down. Kane will essentially be evening the odds for his mythological brother as Shawn Michaels will be in the corner of Triple H. This is special for a multitude of reasons. not the least of which being that Glenn Jacobs, the man behind the Kane persona, recently became the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.
KnoxNews.com ran a story on their mayor returning to his demonic persona, and also seemingly confirmed at this will not be the only appearance The Big Red Machine will make this fall. Regarding negotiations, Jacobs (Kane) said the following:
Basically, WWE contacted me, and they wanted to do a really big show, or series of shows, that they wanted to do, Of course, I was like, ‘Hey man, Vince (McMahon), I’m most likely going to be mayor,’ and (Australia) was the arrangement we came up to.
It’s also been confirmed that WWE will be donating $100,000 to Knox County in compensation for multiple appearances for Jacobs this fall. It looks like that D-Generation X vs. Brothers Of Destruction match is coming closer and closer to being a reality.
