Survivor Series is one of WWE’s “Big Four” pay-per-views and has been a stable since 1987.  When it was introduced, similar to the Royal Rumble, there was much excitement generated over the possibilities. We saw formations of dream teams and rivalries would take a much bigger form.

Over the years, Survivor Series has evolved. Back in the Golden Era, the major Survivor Series elimination matches saw a top babyface lead a team of allies against a top heel and their respective allies. However, as the years had passed, the elimination match was used to settle even bigger scores, such as control of the company, an authority figure and superstars’ jobs, and as it’s now come to be – Interbrand warfare.
