#5.) Batista – WrestleMania 21

The original plan for WrestleMania 21 was apparently to rerun Triple H vs Randy Orton, in hopes of coronating the young legend killer. Unfortunately, Orton’s face turn was a flop and he was taken out of the equation by the following year. Interestingly enough, fans began to take interest in a Batista vs Triple H storyline and The Game later revealed that they begged and fought to have the match at WrestleMania 21.

As it turned out, that was the best course option and it resulted in perhaps the greatest break-up angle in the Ruthless Aggression Era, culminating in the main event of WrestleMania 21, where Batista dethroned Triple H to win his first of many World Championships. That was the conclusion of Evolution and the so-called “reign of terror”.
