Rap battles have been a big part of WWE’s comedy and entertainment and there’s no doubt that it was popularized by John Cena. He was one of the first real superstars with a rapper gimmick and the only one who managed to succeed with it the way he did. However, that was mainly because he was allowed to use it to express his personality, one that made him hated at first and loved later.
