#5.) Finn Balor vs AJ Styles – TLC

Finn Balor was originally supposed to face “Sister Abigail” at TLC, while he was set to appear as The Demon King himself. Unfortunately, a case of measles that had spread in the WWE locker room affected the likes of Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt, who were both forced to pull out of their high-profile matches.

WWE gave a call to AJ Styles, who was in South America for a live event tour. With little to no notice, Styles flew back to the United States in the last minute to save the match, truly proving what a professional he was. Despite being fatigued and far from 100%, he gave everything he had in an impromptu dream match.

Would fans have liked to see a match between them with build up? Of course. But given they had a match of the year contender, it was hard to complain. Balor won in an epic bout, where the crowd chanted “This is awesome” even before the bell rang. Balor won and the two of them did the “Too-sweet”, teasing a storyline down the road.
