Double champions have been a part of WWE tradition for a lot longer than many people realize. While WWE never really made major stories out of most of them, the fact of the matter is that quite a few men accomplished it before, with only two women holding the distinction of being in that same category.

It’s definitely prestigious to hold a championship but to hold two is something that not too many people can say. WWE has had a great mix of double champions in the past, and with the influence of UFC, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more double champions in the future.

Naturally, one of those championships don’t usually involve long reigns, because the objective is normally to take the “less significant” title away first. Either way, out of all the double champions, we take a look at the five best ones. We left The Ultimate Warrior off the list because he vacated the Intercontinental Championship almost immediately after winning the WWF title, so he didn’t really get to spend too much time as double champion.
