#5.) Injured himself on his WWE debut
Guerrero debuted at the end of January in 2000. The following week, he teamed with Perry Saturn to take on The New Age Outlaws. Guerrero and Saturn were supposed to win the bout, but during Guerrero’s frog splash, a bad landing saw him injure his elbow. While it’s not uncommon for wrestlers to tough it out and finish their match anyway, Guerrero’s injury seemed serious enough that he told Road Dogg to pin him instead.
It’s not often we see incidents like these, but it was likely the right call from Guerrero. After returning from injury, he would begin his famous storyline with Chyna.
