Bret Hart’s 5 Greatest Matches In WWE

Bret Hart, till date, remains one of the greatest in-ring workers of all time. He wasn’t just an extremely gifted wrestler, he was also revolutionary in many ways and brought a new style altogether to the WWF. He began climbing the ranks in the 80s, first making his name as a tag team specialist alongside Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart. He would go on to singles stardom, and by 1992, he already found himself as world champion.

However, 1993 would be a big test of patience for Hart. He main evented WrestleMania but lost the title to Yokozuna, who instantly lost it to the returning Hulk Hogan. Hogan was rumored to face Hart at SummerSlam that year in a passing of the torch match, but it never came to be. Instead, Hart would need to wait his turn till 1994, and at WrestleMania X, he finally got his long-awaited coronation.

From there on, he went on to change the game, proving that WWF wasn’t just the land of the giants. He would bring about a new level of match quality to the WWF, having several classics with his fellow-New Generation stars. We look at The Hitman‘s very best matches during his WWF tenure.
