Monster’s Ball Match – Bound For Glory – 10/22/06
The 5th Monster’s Ball match from BFG ’06 makes the list mostly for the insane dive from Abyss onto a prone Brother Runt. Runt had just been chokeslammed from the entrance scaffolding but the platform didn’t give. Whether it wasn’t gimmicked properly or this was all a part of the plan is anyone’s guess, but no one was prepared for Abyss to dive from the scaffolding with a devastating back elbow. Of course, the ever reliable thumbtacks would also make an appearance for another extreme spot towards the finish of the bout as Samoa Joe hits an unbelievable senton on Abyss driving him face-first into the tacks.
