Goldust’s 5 Greatest Matches

Goldust has had a phenomenal career that’s seen him last in the business for 30 years and counting. It’s hard for any superstar to have such longevity but he’s one of the rare few who has done it. Goldust has been around so long it’s very hard to imagine WWE television without him around.

Goldust, aka Dustin Runnels/Rhodes, was born into greatness, being the son of the late, great, Dusty Rhodes. While they didn’t always have the best relationship, they would later make up and stay close until Dusty’s passing.

What Goldust brought to the table when he was in WWE was something completely different. In 1995, the New Generation Era was still going strong and would last for another three years or so. Even then, Goldust’s androgynous persona was something completely different and made him stand out.

Many described his character as “uncomfortable”, and it was a testament that he was able to pull it off in a period where Androgyny and homosexuality were still somewhat taboo topics to discuss. Either way, he cemented his legacy with his tenure and wrestled with the best there was in the business. We look at his five most impressive matches.
