Diamond Dallas Page represents a unique case in wrestling. While he tried to break into the business earlier, he only really got started in the ring at the age of 35. Pro-Wrestling has often been referred to as a young man’s sport and naturally, DDP had to go up against quite some odds to defy the taboo of someone starting their career so late.
But to his credit, he made it work in a big way, climbing the top of the mountain and becoming World Champion 3 times in his career. His ability to pick things up quicker than most saw him rise to the top and become one of WCW’s biggest homegrown stars.
He represented the cream of the crop in WCW and took on (and often defeated) the biggest stars that the company had to offer. Through the years, he’s had some incredible classics with the best there was, and we highlight his five greatest career matches.
