Isenberg Reacts: Impact Wrestling “Jesse Godderz Steals The Show”

impact wrestlingChris Melendez Calls out Eric Young

Christy Hemme interviews Melendez in the ring and says that Eric Young ripped his leg off, disrespecting himself and the country that he fought for. He says one leg will not stop him and wants Eric Young to get out here now.

Eric Young comes to the stage and calls him a hero. He says he volunteered to go to war for his country and says he paid the price at war. Young said he made a huge sacrifice and he cannot take that away from him. He calls him a hero and says that nobody can take that away from him. Young says that he does not care. He says he does not care about him, about the fans and about anybody. Young says he is calling the shots and that Melendez is at the top of the mountain, world class. He says Chris is all the way at the bottom. The match is made for next week.

Eric Young can bring out raw emotions. This was good, but a step down for Young. He is coming off the hottest streak of his career and will now be tested in and out of the ring with a younger guy. Not that it will not work, but Melendez is limited. I feel like Young could be focusing on guys a bit more high caliber and established. On the other end, what better way to get a guy over than one of the hottest heels in TNA?

Jesse Godderz Steals The Show

DJ Z hits a neckbreaker and a back elbow from the top rope. Jesse catches Z and hits a big powerbomb. He hits some forearms to his face and throws him into the corner. He locks in the Crab and DJ Z taps out.

After bashing the BroMans, Robbie E appears and attacks Jesse. They go back and forth and Jesse spills to the outside.

I said this last night on Twitter and waking up this morning makes me feel like I am onto something. Jesse Godderz is MONEY. When you look at him, his physique and his talent, he could be in for a very successful career. Yes, there have been muscular bodies and guys who could wrestle that came into wrestling and had minor success. I immediately think of Chris Masters in WWE. Godderz showed me something that I have not seen from him yet. I saw raw emotion and a demonic look on his face. The expressions told me everything I wanted to know.

With a guy who is talented in many areas in entertainment, it is only common to wonder if he wants to be in wrestling. Well, tonight showed me that he did and he has taken leaps and bounds into becoming a real player for TNA. His strength will always be there.

Now is the time for him to step into the spotlight and carry this feud with Robbie E outside of his strength. He has the natural look for a heel, while all of the women want him. (Look at the women in the crowd screaming for him.) I do not think I have ever seen an intense look than I did from him. Naturally, he screams and you snap your fingers and he has this cocky and arrogant smirk on his face. #Star. This short segment stole the show for me.
