Thanks to WZ’s Mike Killam for answering the first question.

If John Cena never existed, who do you think would’ve become the face of the company after Lesnar left?

Without John Cena being in the “John Cena role” for the last 10+ years, there’s really only one guy to come around that has the magical combo of being 1) a perfect physical specimen, 2) a full-time workhorse, and most importantly 3) a guy Vince McMahon wants to push to the moon and back. His name is Randy Orton.

The question is, could Randy have done what Cena did? It’s always been my opinion that he’s a much better villain, and he seems more natural in that role. He was essentially the #2 guy during all those years anyway, but you need a great heel to make a great babyface. I genuinely think the dueling “Let’s go Orton, Orton sucks” chants would have gotten to him over the years.

The easy answer is they would have done more to push Orton and Batista. I think the sun had already set on Eddie Guerrero as the top face by that point, Rey Mysterio can’t talk like John can (nor would Vince ever make a cruiser the long-term top guy). The reality is, there wasn’t any one man on the roster over the last decade that could have assumed the same responsibility, copy and paste. I really don’t think there would have been “one guy” as the top face of the company. And who knows – maybe that’s a good thing.

Do you think the fans will ever figure out a way to accept Roman Reigns as a WWE World Heavyweight Champion one day? If not, do you see the WWE turning him heel when they feel it’s time to put the title on him?

You can clearly see that fans are slowly getting behind Reigns now. Reigns will likely be the face of the WWE in a few years (as much as I don’t want to see that happen), so eventually fans will get behind him, most fans at least – it is now just a matter of time. I think it would be smarter to just turn him heel but I feel as if WWE is setting him up for the Cena role, at least down the road, so I don’t think turning him heel at the moment is the best option for WWE.

In wrestlezone, most fans like myself we write our comments, do you read all the comments?

Personally, I go through every single comment you guys leave on the Mailbag. I love hearing what everyone has to say, and I am not just saying that. I am sure the other crew members are the same especially for the editorials. We do it all for the readers,  in fact that’s why we started the Mailbag, to give back to such a big wrestling community.
