Ronda Rousey Muddies The Waters, KO Steals Kofi’s Spotlight As WWE Heads Into WWE Fastlane

The Blue Brand was a little more cohesive, though it may have been a little more lackluster.

The opening with Daniel Bryan going at Kevin Owens as undeserving of a WWE Championship match was solid. And The Usos delivered one of their strongest promos in a while.

Then the show went into cruise control, except for a really good Fatal 4 Way match that landed Samoa Joe his first taste of gold on the main roster.

This column has pointed out regularly all the good that R-Truth has been doing and he probably should have been given a longer championship run, but the Samoan Submission Machine is a more than worthy competitor and the United States Championship has always been better in the hands of a heel.

The Miz and Shane McMahon returned to form this week as they seem destined to face each other in New York. The Usos will likely retain the titles this weekend and the feud with McMahon and Miz shoot be in full force within a couple of weeks.

The AJ Styles v. Randy Orton buildup still seems lackluster and it seems hard to explain why two guys who are so talented would be getting very little television time.

Charlotte closed the show by dragging a hobbled Becky out to the ring to ridicule her heading into Fastlane, but then proceeded to find herself in the Disarmer at the hands of The Man, despite a torn up arm and leg. Not a good look for Charlotte going into Sunday and there is no way way The Queen can come out of Sunday looking good in a Lynch win.

Flair has always been able to soak up losses and let them bounce off of her though, a trait she will likely have to continue to have through WrestleMania.

Oh … and where the hell is Kofi Kingston?
