Five Takeaways From WWE Super ShowDown In Saudi Arabia

WWE’s first Saudi Arabia show of 2019 is in the books and as expected, the reaction was mixed, leaning more towards the critical side. The main event of the show saw Goldberg vs The Undertaker face off in a dream match that had many fans concerned for both performers’ safety. We also saw a 51-man battle royal that was one by Saudi Arabian native and Performance Center trainee Mansoor.

The show went on for quite some time, being longer than the traditional PPVs. WWE constantly advertised the PPV as “Equal to or bigger than WrestleMania”, a claim which fans ridiculed quite a bit. Either way, it turned out to be all but a catchline to promote the event, because it was clearly nowhere on the level of WrestleMania, atmosphere-wise, match card-wise and more.

Either way, we learned quite a bit from the event. Here are a few takeaways.
