Rob Van Dam was a high-flyer in an era where it wasn’t as common as it is today. Sure, we’ve seen a lot of great high-flyers in the past, but it’s important to remember that during his era, far more emphasis was given on character work over in-ring work. There were good in-ring technicians, but RVD was on another level from bell-to-bell.
Many believe that he was far ahead of his time, and it’s hard to argue against it. He may not be in the “all-time greats” conversation, but he contributed to and impacted the wrestling more than people realize. In WWE, he would reach the mountain top, albeit for a brief period of time. We take a look at some of his greatest moments with the company.
