Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch had begun to find their stride as a tag team, being just two superstars seemingly stuck together. However, they had a common cause against The Undisputed Era and started building some serious momentum. This led them to an NXT Tag Team title shot at the second edition of Takeover: Chicago.
Burch and Lorcan would take the fight to The Undisputed Era in a big way, coming close to winning on more than just one occasion. Ultimately, the Undisputed Era did walk out victorious, but Lorcan & Burch won a lot of hearts for their effort that night.
