#5.) Winning the #1 contenders battle royal in NXT
It’s safe to say that Full Sail NXT fans didn’t like Eva Marie. The NXT Women’s division was out in full force for a battle royal to determine Bayley‘s next challenger for the NXT Women’s Championship. Eva Marie gained a lot of heat when she eliminated Asuka, the favorite to win the match.
Eva Marie seemed like she won the match and began celebrating, much to the dismay of the fans. You can imagine the relief and excitement on the fans’ face when Carmella appeared from outside the ring to throw her out and win the battle royal. The pop she received was tremendous. She then went on to face her best friend Bayley a few weeks later in friendly competition, where Bayley retained the title.
