Finn Balor‘s signature trademark is the fact that he gets his body painted in all kinds of different ways, portraying different personas. In WWE, he’s pretty much stuck to the “Demon” persona, and to his credit, it’s always gotten a huge reaction. Back in his days with NJPW, he got his body painted in various personas (not just the demon) and it increased his popularity as he would paint himself as horror villains, Star Wars villains, Spider-Man, you name it.
Believe it or not, the body paint was just a one-off idea. He stated in an interview that back in Japan, he was trying to think outside the box and experiment with something new such as a mask or a full bodysuit. It was originally meant to be a one-off in the Tokyo Dome, but thanks to a great reaction, one show led to another and in his own words, it became a whole big thing.
He even stated that he was surprised that WWE let him continue with the body paint. Since 2014, Balor has had Kate Lomax be the one responsible for his body paint. According to both of them, a full-fledged body paint takes up to 3 hours!
With that being said, we look at Balor’s 5 most unique war paints that he’s mesmerized us with.
