Sarah Paulson & Holland Taylor Disappoint Fans With Longtime Couple’s Latest Reveal

For over a decade, Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor have remained one of Hollywood’s most beloved power couples, but fans hoping to see their off-screen chemistry translate into a shared movie or television project might have to wait longer.

Appearing on NBC’s Today, the 83-year-old Emmy winner shut down the possibility of starring alongside her 51-year-old partner, revealing that even discussing prospective co-starring roles gets an immediate, hilarious rejection from both of them.

Taylor admitted the pair recently discussed an offer to co-star in a project together but quickly abandoned the idea. “You know, we were just talking about that, about a particular project, and I said, ‘I don’t know. It seems kind of ew,’” Taylor recalled with a laugh.

When pressed on what the project was, Taylor kept the script details under wraps. “I’m not going to say now!” she quipped, elaborating on her initial reaction, “I said, ‘Wouldn’t it be creepy?’ She said, ‘Kinda.’ So we don’t really want to.”

Taylor further clarified that their stance isn’t limited to a single script or genre, saying, “We don’t think we would ever like the idea.”

How Paulson and Taylor support each other’s careers

Over the years, Paulson and Taylor have left no stone unturned in expressing their support for each other’s respective careers. Be it through public shout-outs, red-carpet appearances, or mutual creative admiration, the couple had each other’s backs.

Ahead of the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards, where Taylor earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her performance in The Morning Show, Paulson joked that she only attended the ceremony to hold her partner’s fan.

Holding a portable cooling device, she joked to People, “This is the nominee; I’m here with the fan.” She quipped, “Just don’t ever say that I’m not supportive and ready and willing and able, because it’s not about me tonight, as you can tell by the fan that I carry.”

Though fans may never see the duo star together in a movie or TV project, their decade-plus partnership continues to thrive away from the screen.
