Mark Wahlberg has offered an update on a potential Entourage reboot. The actor made a promising remark about the series’ future during a conversation with TMZ on Tuesday.
Wahlberg finally addressed whether Entourage will return and kept fans’ hopes alive, saying, “We might bring it back.” He suggested that fan demand could influence whether the project moves forward, “Well, you never know. If people really want it. They got to start asking for it. They got to start encouraging it.”
Entourage was a satirical comedy-drama series that ran for eight seasons on HBO from 2004 to 2011. The show was inspired by Mark Wahlberg’s early days in Hollywood, and he executive-produced the series alongside Stephen Levinson.
A feature film of the same name was released in 2015, serving as a continuation of the original show. No reboot has been officially announced since then.
Mark Wahlberg discusses another potential movie project with Ari Emanuel
Speaking with TMZ, Wahlberg also discussed another possible Entourage project inspired by Ari Emanuel’s memoir. Ari Emanuel, the real-life agent who inspired Jeremy Piven’s Ari Gold on the show, published a memoir titled Roll the Calls in September. Wahlberg shared that they own the rights to the book.
“Ari Emanuel just wrote a new book called Roll the Calls. We could actually do a movie based on the book. We got the rights for the book, so you never know. You got to get everybody to ask for it,” he added and reiterated that fans would need to keep asking for the project.
Entourage follows rising Hollywood star Vincent Chase and his childhood friends from Queens as they navigate the entertainment industry. The series stars Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, Debi Mazar, and more.
Mark Wahlberg returns to the big screen with two new projects. He is set to star in the upcoming sports comedy drama Weekend Warriors and a new crime thriller, The Big Fix.
