What do we see in The Assassin Season 2 trailer?

The trailer shows Edward and Kayla’s honeymoon taking a violent turn when she is taken hostage by an unknown enemy, leaving Edward with no choice but to contact Julie. He tells his mother, “The honeymoon… couldn’t get any worse.”

Edward and Julie then have to work together despite their strained relationship. Another character reminds Edward, “If anyone can get this done, it’s your mother.” The footage also takes them into Spain’s criminal underworld, where they face dangerous enemies and tense confrontations. The trailer thus sets up a dangerous rescue mission that brings the estranged mother and son together. Their complicated relationship remains an important part of The Assassin Season 2’s story alongside the action. The new footage also introduces a darker setting and a fresh threat for the characters.

Terry McDonough directs the first three episodes, while Sarah O’Gorman directs the final three. Two Brothers Pictures produces the series in association with All3Media International.
