Daredevil: Born Again’s unexpected cancellation may not bode well for the Season 3 finale. A new rumor about the Marvel Television series could point to a disappointing farewell to the action show.
According to a recent X post by industry insider MyTimeToShineHello, there will be no reshoots for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3. The claim comes just a day after the announcement that the upcoming third season will be the series finale. Furthermore, Marvel had already parted ways with showrunner Dario Scardapane midway through post-production.
Meanwhile, Season 3 reportedly not getting a reshoot could mean that Marvel knew in advance there wouldn’t be a fourth season and kept the decision under wraps. Hence, it is possible that the season was wrapped up neatly with no requirement for reshoots. However, it could also have a less promising indication.
Daredevil could still return to the MCU after Born Again ends
No reshoots could also mean that the cancellation was sudden, with no prior warning to the production crew. So, there may not be a proper conclusion to the show. This means that even if it is the final season, it may not feel like one if it has an open-ended finale.
However, Daredevil fans must note that these are just speculations, since Marvel has not made any official statement on whether Season 3 will be reshot.
The final season of Daredevil: Born Again will arrive in 2027. An official release window remains under wraps.
Daredevil: Born Again focused on Kingpin’s attempt to stop Daredevil and other vigilantes after becoming the mayor of New York. The second season ended with Matt Murdock going to prison.
The series stars Charlie Cox as Matt, aka Daredevil, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin. The cast members also include Deborah Ann Woll, Wilson Bethel, Margarita Levieva, Jon Bernthal, Krysten Ritter, and many more.
