A beloved British reality competition is coming to America. One of Britain’s longest-running and most popular reality competitions is getting a modern reboot on Peacock. The streaming platform is bringing its chaotic jungle trials to a new generation of viewers.
Originally launched in the UK in 2002 by Lifted Entertainment, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! became a global TV hit. It was distributed worldwide by ITV Studios. The show is known for putting famous public figures in tough, bug-filled wilderness camps and testing how they handle difficult living conditions.
Now, Peacock has officially given the green light to Get Me Out of Here, a new series. The updated version of the popular format will premiere exclusively on Peacock in 2027.
Produced by ITV America, the team behind Peacock’s hit summer series Love Island USA, Get Me Out of Here will be co-hosted by reality TV favorites Maura Higgins (Love Island UK, Love Island USA: Aftersun) and Rob Rausch (Love Island USA Season 6). David George, David Eilenberg, and Jordana Hochman will serve as executive producers.
The new series will keep the drama and survival challenges from the original while adding an entirely new social element.

What to know about Peacock’s Get Me Out of Here
Get Me Out of Here is set deep in a dense and dangerous jungle and puts a fresh spin on the classic survival format. Instead of competing alone, celebrities will team up with a close, non-famous friend or family member for a challenge that tests their endurance, trust, and relationships.
With luxury, VIP treatment, and modern comforts taken away, each pair will face a series of tough physical and mental challenges. Celebrities will have to leave their usual lifestyles behind and prove they can handle life in the wilderness, while their partners must deal with their famous teammates under intense pressure.
The celebrities also will not be in charge. Each duo will have to make major decisions together, knowing when to take the lead and when to rely on their civilian partner as harsh jungle conditions test their patience.
The teams will fight to earn necessary camp supplies and avoid elimination. The one team that overcomes the harsh conditions and the pressure on their relationship will win the $100,000 cash prize.
