Peacock has announced a price hike for six of its plans. Such a move comes as an unexpected development for fans.
In a recent update, the platform stated that the Peacock Select monthly subscription will now be charged at $8.99 per month. Subscribers had to pay $7.99 per month previously. Next up, the Peacock Premium monthly subscription has also gone up from $10.99 to $12.99 monthly. Lastly, subscribers who opted for the Peacock Premium Plus plan will now have to pay $19.99 per month, which is a significant raise from the previous $16.99.
The change in prices is not limited to the monthly plans, as Peacock is also bringing changes to its annual subscriptions. For the Peacock Select plan, subscribers will now have to pay $89.99 instead of $79.99 annually. The Peacock Premium and Premium Plus plans will require an annual payment of $129.99 and $199.99, which previously were $109.99 and $199.99, respectively.
What reason did Peacock give for the price hike?
Following the decision to hike prices, Peacock also provided an explanation for the same. The streaming platform stated that these changes were necessary to allow Peacock to carry on with delivering high-quality content across their platforms. They also cited that the increase in the subscription plans will help them to “remain competitive in the marketplace.”

These revised prices will come into effect from August 18, 2026, for all new and returning customers. However, for existing customers, they will continue with the old rates till their current subscription ends. For monthly subscribers, they will be billed as per the new plans starting on or after September 17, 2026.
Subscribers who do not wish to continue with the hiked pricing on the platform will have the option to cancel their membership. They can do that by going to the Subscriptions option in Account and clicking the Cancel All Subscriptions button.
