NBC has released the first trailer for The Traitors: New Blood, giving fans a look at Alan Cumming’s return to the Scottish Highlands castle for a new game of deception.
The new reality competition series will be released on September 17, 2026, featuring 22 civilian contestants who will compete against each other for prize money up to $250,000 while finding the traitor among them. Cumming, who played the role of the Nightcrawler in the X-Men franchise, returns as a host and an executive producer.

The Traitors: New Blood Raises the Stakes With an All-New Civilian Cast
The trailer introduces 22 contestants entering Cumming’s castle, where they will have to face a series of missions that will help them determine who can be trusted and who is the traitor.
Unlike previous U.S. seasons, The Traitors: New Blood features an all-civilian cast for the first time, giving the show a fresh change. Complete strangers will form an alliance and find out which player is working against them.
The hidden traitors murder faithful contestants one by one in the darkness, as the faithful ones will have to use their social skills to identify them in the game. If the remaining faithful contestants take out all the traitors by the end of the game, they will share the prize money, but if even one traitor survives till the end, they will take all the money.
The civilian cast includes Abbey Benjamin (Nurse), Abby Lee (Astrophysicist), Arisa Thomas (Dog Groomer), Ben McDonnell (Barrel Racer), Clyde Moser (Teacher), Jay Vinnedge (Physician), Joe Vanella (Funeral Director), Katie Fites (Marketing Manager), Kim Daily (Lawyer), Kriste Lewis (Realtor), Logan Smith (Realtor), Madeline Kostopulos (Construction Manager), Mark Zgoda (Personal Trainer), Michael Foote (Lawyer), Morgan Cook (Content Creator), Niyyah Hayes (Therapist), Shane Beatty (Ironworker), Sherry Kuehl (Writer), Tomica Adams (Pilot), Victor Vollbrechthausen (Business Executive), Wyatt Gillespie (Designer), and Xavier Scruggs (MLB Analyst).
According to NBC, the cast of The Traitors: New Blood was hand-selected through a nationwide search, where more than 60,000 people applied.
The first two episodes will be airing as a special two-hour premiere at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Episodes 3 and 4 will air back-to-back on September 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The show will then continue with weekly episodes on Thursdays on NBC and will be available on Peacock the next day.
