The upcoming TV spin-off from Samuel L. Jackson‘s Tulsa King continues to grow in cast. Two familiar television faces have joined the spin-off series, and their roles do not quite match what fans might expect. Here is who they are and what parts they will play.
Samuel L. Jackson’s new crime series expands its recurring cast
Frisco King, the crime-comedy drama spinning off from Tulsa King, has officially locked in Tom Pecinka and Arturo Del Puerto in recurring roles, Deadline reports. Pecinka plays Ryland, a man who carries himself like a polished businessman but masks his true nature as a party animal. Del Puerto plays Hector, a clever and ambitious landscaper making his mark on an elite property in Frisco, Texas.
Tom Pecinka does have a robust list of television appearances, including The Survivalist, The Kill Room, New Amsterdam, FBI, and American Rust. He also starred in the hit Broadway production Stereophonic. This performance earned him a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play.
Meanwhile, Arturo Del Puerto boasts an even wider entertainment footprint, with appearances in Ride Along 2 and Independence Day: Resurgence. His extensive television career spans dramas such as Westworld, Fear the Walking Dead, Godfather of Harlem, and The Lincoln Lawyer, as well as recurring roles on For All Mankind, Big Sky, and Pulse.
Frisco King picks up on Jackson’s character, Russell Lee Washington Jr., who first showed up in Tulsa King season 3. The original series features Sylvester Stallone, a mob boss building a criminal empire after getting out of prison. The time, the story moves to Frisco, Texas.
Taylor Sheridan created the series and wrote every script for the first season, which runs eight episodes. He also serves as an executive producer alongside Jackson, Stallone, and several others. Christiana Alexandra Voros will direct the pilot, with Michael Friedman also directing episodes later in the season.
While Paramount Plus has kept the details under wraps, the shooting is underway in Texas, and the series is expected to premiere in early 2027.
