The Gilded Age Season 4 is set to release this fall, according to HBO Max‘s official post on X. The clip shows a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Season 4, with the cast teasing what fans can expect from the next chapter of the period drama. The fourth season is currently in production.
The Gilded Age premiered in 2022 and has received mostly positive reactions from critics over the course of three seasons. Season 1 currently holds a 79% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Season 2 in 2023 surpassed expectations, with a stellar score of 94%. In 2025, Season 3 became the best-reviewed season in the entire The Gilded Age saga, earning a phenomenal score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Naturally, expectations from Season 4 will be high when it eventually hits HBO Max this fall. Speaking of the cast, the upcoming chapter will bring back Carrie Coon as Bertha Russell, Morgan Spector as George Russell, Christine Baranski as Agnes van Rhijn, and Cynthia Nixon as Ada Brook.

Other returning members include Louisa Jacobson as Marian Brook, Denée Benton as Peggy Scott, Taissa Farmiga as Gladys Russell, Harry Richardson as Larry Russell, and Blake Ritson as Oscar van Rhijn.
Four new actors have also joined the cast for Season 4, including House of Cards fame Elizabeth Marvel. She will appear as Nurse Virginia Saville. Jim Gaffigan (Chappaquiddick), Dallas Roberts (Walk the Line), and Andrew Burnap (Snow White) will also play crucial roles in the upcoming season.
The Gilded Age Season 4 has yet to receive an exact release date for its HBO Max premiere this fall.
