Meghan Markle takes a break from social media amid family issues
Meghan Markle reportedly stalled her social media activities amid scrutiny over her father’s allegations. Royal journalist Andrea Caamano revealed that Prince Harry said that neither he nor his wife is on social media. Caamano explained that the Sussexes have a team of staffers who manage their social media presence (via The Royal Observer).
Hence, the royal expert concluded: “They have people who help manage and publish content on their behalf, allowing them to take a step back from social media for the sake of their mental health.”
Interestingly, the Duchess of Sussex may have taken a break from her personal social media activities. However, she is continuing her operations on her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
The team shared two social media posts in the last two days, announcing their fall-favourite product, Spiced Apple Butter. Although As Ever has disabled its Instagram comments, the internet criticised her for promoting her brand amid her father’s serious allegations.
Caamano shared that Meghan is incredibly “upset” over the allegations. The journalist added that she is channelling her energies into her “family” and “professional projects” right now. The royal expert explained that the Duchess is focused on her lifestyle brand, As Ever, and is scouting scripts to plot a potential acting comeback.
Not only that, Meghan has been recruited to appear on Junior MasterChef Australia and will be in Melbourne next year for a couple of weeks. Caamano revealed that her new TV gig is another “example of her continuing to develop opportunities outside the royal sphere.”
