What happens in the Behemoth trailer?
The Behemoth! trailer opens with a talented cellist Alex Serian, played by Pedro Pascal. He appears puzzled as he is asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement. “What’s this supposed to be?” he asks. The other unnamed character replies, “It’s a booster.”
Alex then asks, “What the f–k is Behemoth?” The person simply says, “It’s a code name. Security. Just sign the damn thing so we can get to work.” The trailer also shows Alex growing closer to a fellow performer, played by Eva Victor. She flirts with him, saying, “You’re really good. As advertised. Still single?”
The clip also introduces Will Arnett’s character, who greets Alex and asks why he has returned to Los Angeles after two decades away. Olivia Wilde also appears in the trailer and challenges Alex to confront his feelings. She tells him, “You’re afraid of what you feel.” Alex replies, “I’ll have to think about that.” The trailer closes with glimpses of Alex’s personal struggles as he pursues his musical ambitions.
The cast also includes Alexa Swinton, Kaya Ralls, Erik Griffin, Jobeth Williams, Margarita Levieva, and Hank Azaria.
One distinctive feature of Behemoth! is its score, which involves nine composers. They include Michael Giacchino, James Newton Howard, Henry Jackman, and Alan Silvestri, among others. Tony Gilroy also serves as a producer alongside Sanne Wohlenberg and John Gilroy.
Searchlight Pictures’ Behemoth! hits theaters on December 4, 2026.
