Prince William is reportedly unimpressed by a new plan involving Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s outing in Nottingham. The Sussexes reportedly have a packed schedule for their first joint engagement in Britain. This has drawn plenty of attention, and an insider says the Prince of Wales is watching closely.

According to Woman’s Day, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will visit the Community Recording Studio in Nottingham. There, they will watch an acting workshop. Next, they will join members of the Hubb Community Kitchen at the Himmah food bank, a cause Meghan has long supported. It is also the pair’s first joint engagement since they arrived in the UK in late August.
Sources told the outlet that Prince William remains deeply unimpressed by their schedule. One insider said, “William knows as one of the world’s wealthiest landowners he shouldn’t begrudge his brother for earning a living, but it’s all so distasteful and something the British public are not used to.”
The same source claimed he dislikes that the Sussexes have returned to “make money.” The insider added that they show no intention of mending bridges. William was himself in the public eye on October 13 when he played a cricket game on The Mall to promote The Earthshot Prize’s annual summit in November.
The timing of Harry and Meghan’s outing to Nottingham has raised eyebrows, too. King Charles and Queen Camilla will attend the Ceremonial Opening of the Seventh Senedd in Cardiff Bay on the same day.
According to the source, former royal butler Grant Harrold offered his insight. “I imagine it is pure coincidence, but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to ruffle some feathers,” he said. He also noted that this will likely frustrate the palace, as media interest will lean toward the Sussexes.
However, the source also notes that an insider close to Meghan says that public appearances like the Nottingham trip will be “relatively rare.” Her priorities are her family and children, then her business, then “rebooting her acting career.”
Recently, Meghan’s former agent Ari Emanuel also commented on her career. Speaking to Megyn Kelly, he said, “She is finding her voice, I am happy for her.” A friend of Meghan’s later told the outlet she was considering “a lot of exciting scripted and non-scripted opportunities.”
