Prince William & Kate Middleton Turn to This Royal Member When Times Are Tough

A royal expert has revealed which member of the royal family has stood by Kate Middleton and Prince William through difficult times. The family member reportedly helped care for the couple’s children and manage their household while supporting William following Kate’s cancer diagnosis in 2024.

The revelation comes after a royal aide claimed that Queen Elizabeth was pleased that her grandson was marrying into the Middleton family, admiring the close-knit household’s values and strong family bonds.

Speaking to Hello!, royal biographer and journalist Robert Jobson revealed that Carole Middleton has been a crucial source of support for Kate Middleton and Prince William during challenging times.

He highlighted her important role in the family, saying, “[Carole] may not ever hold the title of Queen Mother, but in the future, she will be the Queen’s mother.” Jobson added that Carole has consistently been there to support her daughter and her family whenever they have needed her.

Jobson further emphasized Carole’s support for William, particularly during Kate’s cancer diagnosis in 2024. “She was there to support William and was there all the time for the grandchildren. She’s been as solid as a rock. When everything was falling apart and he needed someone to talk to, she was the one. She took him out to the pub and they would sit and talk.”

He also described Carole as “a good sounding-board” and “a wise head” for the Prince of Wales, highlighting the trust he places in his mother-in-law. These revelations come amid the publication of Russell Myers’ biography, “William and Catherine: The Monarchy’s New Era: The Inside Story,” which also highlights the unwavering support Kate and William have received from her parents.

Myers wrote, “The Middleton family, who had become a constant presence in their lives, was crucial to this. William appreciated their involvement beyond measure, ‘enjoying their company and the normalcy of the environment, whatever the circumstances. More room to breathe,’ he once told an aide,” emphasizing how much the couple values the Middletons’ presence.

According to the biography, Kate’s parents frequently visited the family in Norfolk and often stayed over the weekends. Their regular visits provided Kate and William with additional support, helping maintain a sense of normalcy for the family during difficult periods.
