Princess Diana‘s upcoming docuseries featuring previously unheard audio recordings has reportedly secured a major streaming deal with Prime Video. The three-part series, originally titled “Diana Unheard,” is reportedly set to be released on August 31, 2027. The reported documentary has already generated considerable buzz, with many eager to hear the late Princess of Wales’s words and reflect on her life through her own voice.
Princess Diana’s new docuseries is reportedly heading to Prime Video in the UK
Princess Diana’s upcoming docuseries is reportedly set to stream on Prime Video in the UK under a new title, “Diana: Her Secret Confessions.” The project, originally titled “Diana Unheard,” will retain its original name for international distribution. According to Deadline, Cineflix Rights is handling the series’ distribution.
The three-part docuseries will feature previously unheard audio recordings of Diana, offering a more personal glimpse into her life. The tapes reportedly include conversations about her childhood, her marriage to King Charles, and her relationship with Camilla. They will also feature Diana discussing Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and her sons, Prince Harry and Prince William.
The recordings were made in 1991 by Dr. James Colthurst, one of Diana’s close friends. Author Andrew Morton later used some of the material for his 1992 biography, “Diana: Her True Story.” However, many of the recordings have remained unheard for decades and are now set to reach a wider audience through the upcoming series.
Produced by Love Monday TV, the docuseries aims to challenge the long-standing narrative surrounding the late Princess of Wales. Kerene Barefield, the company’s creative director, previously told Deadline that the media had often portrayed Diana as sad and lonely, with much of her story shaped by that perception.
The newly featured recordings are expected to offer a different perspective on Diana, highlighting her strength, bravery, and resilience. The reported Prime Video deal marks a significant step toward bringing these previously unheard recordings to viewers in the UK and the rest of the world.
