According to an insider, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “don’t exist” to Prince William amid their ongoing rift. The news comes as the brothers continue to remain estranged despite Harry’s recent return to the UK. Their relationship withered after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s explosive allegations against the royal family.
Prince Harry is reportedly ‘refusing’ to reconcile with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Prince William apparently has no plans to reconcile with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
As reported by Closer, King Charles was hopeful that his eldest son would eventually soften his stance. But insiders now suggest that the monarch is rapidly losing patience with the royal heir’s refusal to budge.
In fact, reports this week suggest that His Majesty has given his blessing to a Thanksgiving Service honoring Princess Diana on the 30th anniversary of her death next year. According to the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden, the service will reportedly take place in a chapel and may feature tributes from both William and Harry.
If it goes ahead, it would mark the brothers’ first public appearance together since their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, died in 2024.
That said, the Prince of Wales has reportedly refused to reunite with Prince Harry under any circumstances so far. An insider shared, “The King has given the orders for this feud to be squashed, but as everyone knows, William is refusing to come to the table. He’s stopped complaining about Harry and Meghan and is now acting like they don’t even exist instead.”
They added, “The courtiers are trying to get them together to talk about doing some sort of tribute to Diana, and Harry is all for it, but William’s refused.” The royal insider also explained that the 44-year-old’s position directly challenges King Charles’s wishes.
The source further noted that Prince William’s unwillingness has left staff feeling pressured to choose between him and the King. Many reportedly fear they could lose their positions if they back the wrong side. This highlights just how personal the rift has become for him.
