As per a Star Magazine report, Kate had reportedly lost patience. “There’s been zero progress,” the source said about Prince William and Prince Harry. Therefore, Kate’s instinct was reportedly to “do everything she can to fix things.” The insider said she was “very loudly voicing her opinion again” behind closed doors.
More specifically, Kate believed “this ugliness can’t go on.” The source then gave her a one-word assessment. “It’s untenable,” they said. Meanwhile, she was reportedly urging William to extend an olive branch.
Additionally, Kate Middleton reportedly hoped the feud could ease before the upcoming holiday season. At minimum, she wanted progress before Diana’s 30th death anniversary on August 31, 2027. The source said there was an “expectation” that both brothers would mark the occasion together. Kate “very much wants them to honor that,” the insider added.
Meanwhile, the source framed her concerns partly in terms of motherhood. They claimed it “pains her” imagining Diana’s reaction to her sons’ years-long estrangement. Kate was also “not holding back” when sharing that view with William.
Still, the report did not suggest Kate expected Prince William and Prince Harry to become close again immediately. Instead, the insider said she recognized that “Harry has changed.” However, Kate was “not suggesting they need to be best friends.”
She reportedly warned William that the continuing feud “sets a terrible example for the children.” Kate and William share Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Therefore, her reported position focused on restoring basic family civility rather than rebuilding the brothers’ former bond. For now, however, Star reported no confirmed breakthrough between them.
