Meghan Markle’s New ‘Humble’ Identity Comes With a $33K Outfit — Report

Meghan Markle has reportedly been trying to keep a lower profile in recent months. However, her meeting with Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai at a London hotel has brought her back into the spotlight. A report has now drawn attention to the contrast between Meghan’s approach to public appearances and her reported $33,000 outfit.

Meghan Markle is ‘very conscious about how she wants pictures to land,’ claims friend

Meghan Markle has reportedly been careful about how she appears in public. A friend told the Daily Mail that the Duchess is “very conscious about how she wants pictures to land, which is why you have barely seen her.”

The source added that Meghan has been trying to keep a low profile. “I mean, on one level obviously, if you meet someone at Claridge’s it will be noticed. But look at how quiet she has been on social media, how little she has been out,” the friend said.

Despite that reported approach, Meghan recently met Malala Yousafzai at Claridge’s in London. The two first connected during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Meghan supported a campaign promoting female education. Malala has since continued her work advocating for girls’ access to education through the Malala Fund.

The meeting also drew attention to Meghan’s fashion choices, with the report putting the value of her outfit at around $33,000. That price tag stands in contrast to the low-profile image described by her friend. Meghan did not share the meeting on social media. A source close to the Duchess said it was a personal get-together, with nothing to announce publicly.

The Daily Mail report also revisited Meghan’s past connections with prominent women, including Oprah Winfrey, Amal Clooney, and Gloria Steinem. Malala, who was shot by the Taliban in 2012 after advocating for girls’ education, is now a leading campaigner for access to education worldwide. The pair reportedly met for afternoon tea at Claridge’s, where the experience costs £95 per person. Their meeting has attracted attention even though Meghan has not publicly discussed it.
