Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is bringing back one of the killers from its first season. Paramount+ has confirmed that Eric Stonestreet will reprise his role as Al Walker, aka the Rapunzel Killer.
In their recent press release, Stonestreet revealed his return during the show’s New York Comic Con panel on Thursday, October 8. The actor made a surprise appearance alongside Michael C. Hall, Uma Thurman, James Remar, Jack Alcott, Bokeem Woodbine and Krysten Ritter. A first-look image featuring Al and Leon Prater was also shared.
Al was one of the killers brought together by Prater, played by Peter Dinklage. Dexter Morgan eventually infiltrated the group while posing as Red, allowing him to eliminate several of its members.

What did we see Eric Stonestreet’s character do in the first season of Dexter: Resurrection?
Al was known as the Rapunzel Killer because he targeted women with ponytails and collected their hair as trophies. He was one of the more unusual killers introduced in the first season, but he managed to escape Dexter’s pursuit.
After Dexter began eliminating the killers, Al escaped New York and returned to his home in the Midwest. His family had no idea about his secret life, leaving him free to continue living as if nothing had happened.
Stonestreet previously discussed Al’s escape and suggested that the character may not have known Dexter was responsible for the disappearance of the other killers. He also teased the possibility of returning to the role.
“Nobody really ever gets away from Dexter. That’s a reality,” Stonestreet said. The actor’s return ties Season 2 back to the events of the first season as Dexter faces new threats. The upcoming episodes will see him caught between two killers, including one notorious figure and another who is terrorizing New York.
Harrison will also continue his own pursuit of justice as he and his father face what Paramount describes as their darkest chapter yet. Season 2 will introduce new serial killers played by Brian Cox and Dan Stevens.
Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 premieres October 30 on Paramount+.
