Jimmy Fallon Roasts Donald Trump’s ‘Operation Sus’ Midterm Election Move

The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon has taken another jab at President Donald Trump. Fallon also dubbed the White House’s decision not to invite election monitors to the upcoming midterms as “Operation Sus.”

During his Wednesday monologue, the comedian said, “It is less than a month before the midterms, and new polling numbers show that Democrats are favored to take control of both the House and the Senate. Democrats haven’t been this excited since the Great Kale Fad of 2013.”

Ahead of the midterm elections, the Trump administration has declined to invite international election observers from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) to monitor the midterm elections. Fallon noted that the decision marks the first time in more than two decades that OSCE observers will not monitor a U.S. federal election.

Trump’s ‘Operation Sus’ remark gives Fallon plenty of material during monologue

Fallon noted that many people are worried Trump might interfere with the voting process before mocking the president. He impersonated Trump and introduced a satirical statement supposedly released by the president. Fallon then presented a fake advertisement in which Trump supposedly promotes a new “state-of-the-art Trump ballot counter.”

In Jimmy’s fake address, the Trump ballot counter is just a paper shredder. Fallon has previously mocked Donald Trump through monologues, parodies, and fake commercials. The White House’s decision has given Fallon another opportunity to create a satirical fake commercial.

In the skit, Fallon’s fake Trump character said, “It’s almost Election Day, and every American deserves to have their ballot counted. That’s why I’m making sure every Democratic district will have an extra secure, state-of-the-art Trump ballot counter.”

The fake Trump character then referenced the controversial Epstein files, adding, “They work perfectly. I just tested them with the Epstein files! Best of all, it makes fresh confetti for my big election party!”
