Travis Kelce jokes that a Chiefs loss would have spoiled his 37th birthday

Travis Kelce quips that a Chiefs loss could have possibly ruined his 37th birthday. The Chiefs tight end discussed his birthday celebration with his brother Jason Kelce on the October 7 episode of the New Heights podcast. For those unversed, the Chiefs entered their bye week on a winning streak after beating the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.

Kelce shared that it was “nice” to have people wish him a Happy Birthday. He added further that it was a good and a fun day. He confirmed that he went to one of his “favourite spots,” Torrisi restaurant in NYC, and spent time with his wife.

Furthermore, he admitted: “And the best news that I got on my birthday was that we got a victory. That was the happiness I had around my birthday. I got the win going into the bye [week], and we’re 4 and 0.” Kelce was referring to the Chiefs’ 30-27 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

His brother Jason prodded further and questioned if losing would have dampened his 37th birthday plans. The Chiefs tight end revealed that losing “ruins” everyone’s life and that if they had lost, it would have tainted his birthday plans. Moreover, Kelce confessed he’s not big on birthdays and did not even get a cake. However, Torrisi went out of their way to present an assortment of desserts to the couple. Finally, he spoke about his plans for the bye week, which include working out and watching sports on TV. The Chiefs are scheduled to play against the Los Angeles Chargers on October 18.
