Meghan Markle is reportedly preparing for a more strategic return to the UK spotlight as she settles into life back in Britain with Prince Harry and their children. The source claims the Duchess of Sussex is deliberately keeping a lower profile while working behind the scenes to rebuild public interest and push back against her critics.

Meghan Markle refuses to ‘roll over’ and plans image makeover in UK, per source

Prince Harry recently stepped back into the UK spotlight for an Invictus event at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. The Duke of Sussex appeared on the red carpet for the Invictus Spirit Awards. The Irish Guards also joined the occasion, posing in their uniforms alongside their mascot, Seamus, an Irish Wolfhound. However, Meghan Markle did not join Harry for the high-profile appearance. Her absence quickly attracted attention, particularly because the couple often appear together at major public events. A source close to Meghan said she stayed home with Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, as the children adjusted to their new routine.

“Meghan was advised a while ago to be less accessible because it creates more interest,” Heat World reported. The strategy aims to build anticipation around her appearances instead of keeping her constantly in the spotlight. The source said Meghan could eventually benefit from staying away from the spotlight. The source described Meghan as highly “competitive” and said she views her return to the UK as a challenge. “She’s coming back to the U.K. with the mindset that she can turn things around and win people over,” the insider claimed. The source added that Meghan has heard predictions that the British public will never welcome her again, but she refuses to “just roll over and accept that as the truth.”

The insider further claimed that Meghan feels better prepared to handle criticism now than when she first entered royal life. “There was a time when all the hostility she’s facing across the pond would have taken her down, but she’s stronger than she was.” The insider said Meghan now wants to confront criticism. “She’s insisting that she’s ready to stand up and fight back,” the source added.
