Samuel L. Jackson Knows Exactly What He’d Do if He Were President

Samuel L. Jackson recently shared what he would focus on if he were president. The actor discussed his hypothetical presidential priorities while attending the Los Angeles premiere of his upcoming action thriller The Beast.

Samuel L. Jackson explains his vision for restoring middle-class affordability

Samuel L. Jackson has revealed what he would want to accomplish if he were President of the United States. During a Variety red-carpet interview, the actor said his priority would be finding a way to spread wealth and rebuild the middle class.

He also reflected on his own childhood. Jackson explained that he grew up in a middle-class household and would like to see more Americans experience a similar level of financial stability. He said, “American people? I gotta say, find a way to spread the wealth. So that, you know, there would be a middle class again, like I was when I grew up. I grew up in a middle-class house.”

The actor was then asked whether he believed achieving that goal was still possible. Jackson expressed doubt that it would be easy in the current environment. He said, “I don’t think it’s snow. Pretty much not. No. Yeah. So that’d be something I’d like to do. So everybody could afford it by groceries and, you know, raise their kids and buy a car and maybe feed a dog.”

Jackson’s upcoming movie, The Beast, sees him in the role of an American president who is forced to take control of the heavily armored presidential limousine, nicknamed “The Beast.” During a coup, he must unlock the vehicle’s secret offensive capabilities to survive an ambush.

The action thriller also stars Joel Kinnaman as a wounded Secret Service agent. The Beast is directed by Renny Harlin and written by Umair Aleem. Jackson and Kinnaman lead the cast alongside Colin Morgan and Guy Burnet. It is set to arrive this weekend, October 9, 2026.
