Meghan Markle’s new Holiday Collection garners unflattering comparisons with King Charles. The Duchess of Sussex is going all guns blazing to promote her lifestyle brand, “As ever,” and their new festive collection. However, on social media, she’s being slammed for imitating several products already offered by Buckingham Palace.
Meghan Markle’s As Ever holiday collection overlaps with several products already offered by Buckingham Palace
Meghan Markle’s new As Ever Holiday Collection comes under fire after fans draw parallels with King Charles’ products offered by Buckingham Palace. “The Suits” star’s holiday collection includes The Holiday Basket, a pantry basket and a set of specially curated playing cards. Additionally, her new holiday collection will feature a selection of three chocolate bars, in Ginger Lemon, Lavender Honey and Hibiscus Rose flavours.
Additionally, there will be scented candles, flavorful jams, aromatic herbal teas and a plot of flower sprinklers as well. Furthermore, her lifestyle brand announced that they would be launching “The Holiday Collection: Chapter One” on October 6. The official announcement stated: “The holidays have a way of reminding us how much joy can be found in the moments that make up a life” (via The Daily Express).
The internet, however, wasn’t pleased with Markle’s holiday collection launch. Many slammed the Duchess of Sussex for copying King’s Highgrove shop, which is known for its Christmas hampers. One user commented, “Meghan is set to introduce a Christmas hamper, though I doubt she’ll actually use the word Christmas. Despite having every opportunity to create something distinctive that sets her apart, she seems content to copy and paste other people’s products.”
A second user wrote: “Why buy the fake ‘As Ever’ brand when you can have the real Royal product… Highgrove?” Another one penned: “The blatant copying of the Royals is crazy & what’s worse is the press doesn’t call her on it. Copies Highgrove bees, beekeeping, specific garden things and then some and then some more. It’s insanity to be honest.”
