Halle Berry has presented her side of the VR-headset incident involving her and Olivier Martinez’s son, Maceo. On October 2, Page Six reported that Martinez filed for a temporary restraining order against Berry on behalf of himself and Mateo. He alleged that the actress had harmed their son by jumping on him and putting her hands around his throat. According to the court documents, he also claimed that this was not an isolated event and requested sole custody.
However, a new report by PEOPLE stated that Berry has asked the court to restore her former custody agreement. Additionally, she has asked the court to reinstate her as the tie-breaking authority and force Martinez to attend the court-ordered therapy sessions. She claimed that her ex’s anger towards her affects her relationship with her son.
According to a new TMZ report, Halle Berry has disputed Olivier Martinez’s claims of child abuse, saying, “I would never hurt our child.” Further, she said that she is a victim of domestic abuse and an advocate, although she refused to reveal who the perpetrator was.
The same report also revealed Berry’s account of what happened between her and Maceo on September 26. Allegedly, she went to his room to find him playing with his VR headset. She told him to stop. When he refused to listen, she went to the bathroom and began recording him on her phone.
Upon noticing his mother recording him, the tween walked over to her, and they began “playfully roughhousing.” Ultimately, her boyfriend, Van Hunt, intervened, and Maceo threatened to go back to his father’s place. She texted Martinez, requesting that he enforce appropriate boundaries with their child. Maceo went back to his father, and there were no marks on his body at the time.
