A new rumor from a Marvel insider suggests Doctor Doom could confront a major character in Avengers: Doomsday. The confrontation was supposed to take place off-screen. However, the scene was reportedly reshot for the upcoming movie.
On X, insider James Mack wrote, “Apparently, from what I’ve heard, the scene of Doom invading the TVA and confronting Loki, which was originally going to happen off-screen, was filmed during the reshoots, and will now show what actually happened.” However, when @silver4061 commented, “Does that mean we’re going to see Doom vs. Loki?” Mack responded, “Maybe.”
Previous rumors have claimed that Doctor Doom will infiltrate the TVA and destroy it. During this process, reports said that Doom would fight Loki behind the scenes. The rumor has already sparked reactions from fans.
For instance, @gulity_raven247 wrote, “Why the hell was that originally off-screen in the first place seemed way too important for that.” While @nicholasluvss added, “Not gonna lie, I feel it would feel more insidious if we saw the fallout of Doom’s onslaught of the TVA as opposed to seeing him do it in real time. Just a thought.” That said, this is only a rumor and should be treated as such until Marvel Studios confirms it.
