Prince William has reportedly grown even more distrustful of Prince Harry after Charles Spencer’s memoir reignited controversy around Princess Diana and the Royal Family. A source claims William believes Harry knew about “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister” before its release but failed to warn him or King Charles, deepening the rift between the brothers.

The latest tension comes after the release of Charles Spencer’s memoir, “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister,” which revisits Diana’s life, her relationship with King Charles and the events surrounding her death. The book generated headlines even before its official release after excerpts appeared in the press. Spencer, Diana’s brother, made several claims about the Royal Family and his former brother-in-law.

The memoir has also brought new attention to Spencer’s relationship with Harry. Harry, Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet, stayed at Althorp House during a visit to the UK in July. The Northamptonshire estate is closely associated with Diana, who grew up there, while her grave is located on a private island in a lake on the estate. According to Heat World, an unnamed source claims William sees Harry’s relationship with Spencer as another reason to distrust his brother.

The source alleged that William sees Spencer’s memoir as confirmation of concerns he already had about Harry. “He says this is proof that he was right all along, and Harry cannot be trusted,” the source claimed. The insider further alleged that Harry knew the memoir was coming but did not alert King Charles.

The source claimed that Spencer’s allegations have especially concerned William because of their nature and the possible impact on the wider Royal Family. For William, the source said, Harry’s alleged knowledge of the book without warning his father represents another breach of trust. The insider went even further, describing Harry as a “rotten apple” in William’s view and claiming that the Prince believes he has good reason to keep his brother outside his personal circle.
