Prince Harry’s Alleged Move That Left Queen Elizabeth Deeply ‘Hurt’ — Royal Editor

A royal editor has looked back at a difficult chapter in the British royal family’s history. The report details Prince Harry‘s alleged actions, which are said to have deeply “hurt” Queen Elizabeth II. The news emerges amid the Duke of Sussex’s ongoing rift with the royal family, including his brother Prince William, who had reportedly confronted him at the time.

Though Prince Harry has returned to the UK, a full reconciliation with some members of the royal family still appears out of reach.

In recent years, he and Meghan Markle have made a series of allegations about their time in the institution. These claims deepened the divide with his father, King Charles, and his elder brother, Prince William. Harry has reportedly repaired his relationship with the King following several visits to the UK. However, his bond with the Prince of Wales continues to remain strained.

Exploring these tense family dynamics, Mirror royal editor Russell Myers delves into them in his biography “William and Catherine: The Intimate Inside Story.” Additionally, per the Daily Express, royal author Sally Bedell Smith revealed last July an insight from Lady Elizabeth Anson.

For those unaware, Lady Elizabeth Anson was a cousin and close confidante of the late Queen. According to her, Queen Elizabeth was left deeply hurt after Prince Harry “was rude to her for ten minutes” while discussing arrangements ahead of his 2018 wedding to Markle.

Reports suggest that Her Late Majesty felt upset because the Duke requested the Archbishop of Canterbury to lead the service. That choice broke with tradition, which usually calls for the Dean of Windsor to lead. Lady Anson recalled the tense exchange with her grandson, saying it left the Queen “hurt beyond belief.”

Meanwhile, Myers notes in his book that after learning what happened, Prince William confronted his brother over his “unforgivable” behavior. At that time, palace staff were under immense pressure to finalize the wedding arrangements. The royal heir saw what was happening and stepped in to apologize on his brother’s behalf more than once.
