Avengers: Doomsday To Finally Bring Hulk vs. [Spoiler] Fight To Life – Report

A new rumor may have just revealed one of Avengers: Doomsday’s most anticipated showdowns. A social media scooper detailed how two Marvel heavyweights will finally clash on screen in the upcoming crossover event.

The Thing vs. Hulk rumored for Avengers: Doomsday’s epic battle

A new rumor from social media scooper James Mack, reported by Murphy’s Multiverse, suggests that Avengers: Doomsday will feature a battle between The Thing and The Hulk. According to Mack, the Avengers invade Latveria and come face-to-face with Doom’s army. Hulk, wearing a Doom mask, appears before the heroes, prompting Ben Grimm to charge at him shouting his iconic catchphrase.

This rumored clash builds on the mid-credits scene from Avengers Endgame: Encore. That scene revealed Bruce Banner locked himself in a military complex two miles underground after his rampage in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Doctor Doom then appeared in the bunker, telling Banner he was there to “collect” him.

The Avengers Endgame: Encore stinger strongly hinted that Doom now controls the Hulk. Banner was working on a gamma suppression serum when Doom magically entered the facility. He seemingly transformed into the Hulk as Doom teleported the pair away to an unknown location.

The Thing and Hulk have clashed repeatedly across six decades of Marvel Comics history. Their rivalry remains one of the publisher’s most enduring benchmarks of raw physical power. The Russo Brothers will reportedly capitalize on that history by pitting the two heavyweights against each other in Latveria. Doom’s broader strategy may extend beyond simply using Hulk as a weapon. The Avengers Endgame: Encore scene’s horror-like tone suggested Doom views Banner as a tool for a larger plan.

Some fan theories speculate that Hulk’s gamma-infused body could serve as a living conduit for immense energy, similar to his role wielding the Infinity Stones in Avengers: Endgame. That ability could prove essential to Doom’s rumored plans for Avengers: Secret Wars, where he may need a vessel for vast Multiversal power.
