Forgotten Island Digital & Streaming Release Date: When Could It Arrive?

Forgotten Island is set to hit theaters, but viewers are already wondering when they can watch DreamWorks Animation’s fantasy adventure at home. The movie follows two best friends who are pulled into a mysterious world inspired by Philippine folklore.

While no home-release dates have been confirmed, its theatrical release date offers some clues about when it could become available digitally and on streaming.

Forgotten Island could arrive on digital in late October

Forgotten Island remains exclusive to theaters once it hits the big screen on Sept. 25, with no official digital release date announced. JustWatch and Moviefone also list the movie as unavailable to stream, rent or purchase.

Based on previous release patterns, however, the movie could potentially reach digital platforms in late October. Universal Pictures, which distributes DreamWorks Animation titles, generally keeps strong-performing films in theaters for at least 31 to 45 days before making them available digitally.

Since Forgotten Island arrives in theaters first, a digital debut could potentially arrive after a similar window. However, this remains an estimate until the studio confirms its plans.

The story follows high school best friends Jo and Raissa, who accidentally fall through a mysterious portal into Nakali, a mythical world inspired by Philippine folklore. Once there, they discover that finding their way home could come at the cost of every memory they share.

The voice cast is led by H.E.R. as Jo and Liza Soberano as Raissa. Dave Franco voices Raww, while Lea Salonga plays the Dreaded Manananggal and Dolly de Leon voices Fatima/Lola. Manny Jacinto, Jenny Slate, Ronny Chieng and Kevin McCann also lend their voices to the movie.

Forgotten Island streaming release may follow in December

An official Peacock streaming date has not been announced, but Forgotten Island could potentially begin streaming on the service in late December. DreamWorks Animation movies distributed by Universal Pictures typically reach Peacock around three months or more after their theatrical debuts.

That potential timeline would place the movie’s streaming arrival toward the end of 2026. However, the exact date could depend on its theatrical and digital release schedule.

For now, viewers will need to wait for official confirmation from Universal Pictures and Peacock regarding when Forgotten Island will become available to stream.
