Lady Gaga might be suiting up for Marvel’s highly anticipated mutant reboot, and fans can’t keep quiet about it. After rumors of her MCU casting surfaced online, fans quickly narrowed down their top two dream roles for the pop icon’s debut.
Marvel fans think Lady Gaga could be Dazzler in X-Men reboot
Marvel fans are speculating that Lady Gaga could play Dazzler in the upcoming X-Men reboot. The speculation began after X account MyTimeToShineHello posted that Lady Gaga had joined the MCU. However, X’s Community Notes flagged the post as unverified. No official Marvel announcement or credible report currently confirms the claim.
Despite the lack of confirmation, fans quickly flooded the replies with casting suggestions. Several users proposed Dazzler as the ideal role for the pop superstar. One user wrote, “Would love Gaga in X-Men DAZZLER.” Another simply commented, “Dazzler.” Other fans suggested she could portray Mystique instead. One user noted, “Would’ve prefered Taylor Swift” for the Dazzler role but still called it “good casting.”
Dazzler, also known as Alison Blaire, is a mutant who converts sound into light energy. The character first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #130 in 1980. Her pop star persona makes her a natural fit for a real-world musician. Marvel Studios has not announced Dazzler for the X-Men reboot’s lineup.
Jake Schreier is directing the X-Men reboot, which Marvel Studios will release on May 5, 2028. The confirmed cast already includes several major names. Christopher Abbott will portray Professor X, while Adam Driver takes on Mister Sinister. Sadie Sink plays Jean Grey, and Kit Connor stars as Cyclops. Samara Weaving will appear as Emma Frost. Inde Navarrette plays Rogue, Maya Boyd portrays Storm, and Asa Germann joins as Angel. Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo are rewriting Michael Lesslie’s original script.
Marvel Studios announced most of the cast at D23 2026 on August 14. The studio has not revealed any additional casting beyond the confirmed eight actors.
